Daniela Fialová - Chair of the Scientific Committee

Expert in geriatric clinical pharmacy. Head of the Department for Postgraduate Training in Clinical Pharmacy, Institute for Postgraduate Training in Healthcare, Prague; Researcher and Clinical Pharmacist at the 1st Faculty of Medicine, Prague- Department of Geriatrics and Gerontology; Assistant Professor at the Department of Social and Clinical pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Hradec Králové.

Expectations:

In some countries, we have already a 20 years´ experience (or more) with the implementation of clinical pharmacy practice. We must learn from experiences. I hope the Prague ESCP Symposium will create an open platform for discussion of different ways of teaching, practicing, implementation and management of clinical pharmacy practice and will inspire many colleagues for their better clinical and scientific work at their homes. We cordially invite colleagues from different countries of the world to come to Prague, share their clinical and scientific knowledge and also, to enjoy the beautiful city of Prague!

To sum it up, I would like to reach the highest pharmacological knowledge to be able to help my patients in the best way.

Expectations: 

We will have a possibility to compare educational systems, the way of work, to exchange experience and information about the clinical pharmacy practice. We will be able to work together and to learn new approaches to be better in our profession and to be a functional part of our interdisciplinary team. We have to continue in education of colleagues to improve our skills and to better coordinate our clinical work. In our work it is very important not only to identify drug-related problems, but to document them and to quantify them, it is our important goal.
The symposium is the best way how to achieve this, how to teach each other, bring new ideas and information and how to use them in the clinical practice.
